COWARDICE
HEY!
THIS IS SERIOUS!
GET IT STRAIGHT IN YOUR MIND.
LIVES DEPEND ON IT.
COWARDICE
is the birth-mother of
prejudice & license to kill
SO
Do not tolerate isolation! In yourself or anyone!
The first manifestation of cowardice is isolation. Those locked away in their own thoughts are a violent threat to all in range. That quiet person slinking in the corners of their own little dark bubble-world, easily, and without resistance, justify the fantasies of perversities, bloody revenge, the daily routine of bullying or silent rage disguised in cowering “meekness.” The ANSWER?
MEANINGFUL ENCOUNTER & INTERACTION
with other humans walking in the same space
You can, without fear of harm, in casual boldness and responsible authority, call it out at the first hint in your own heart or at the first sign in someone you know or even a stranger you see on the street or pass in the hall or a store.
HOW?
First – Look at Jesus. What is His attitude toward that person? What does He see that would connect the two of you, a hook that would draw them into a friendly, honest engagement? When you see it, when He shows you, go with it. Your fuel and motive is His love, not you thinking it through and coming up with your own plan. Just let it flop out. Be vulnerable, not imposing or threatening. Those are fear based and would confirm the dominator’s aggression already infecting that person’s mind. Defuse it, inject the only thing that heals bitter waters, the matter-of-fact, so-loved-that-He-gave, sacrificial courage of God’ Spirit. He’s in you! Willingly surrender to be the faucet for His amazing love to be poured through you and wrap up that broken, terrified soul in the warm Blanket of friendship with Jesus.
People who are wholly given to the delusions and goals of the Adversary, will still do horrible acts of violence and perversion but at least your hands will be clean and without complicity in the crime against God’s children.
Get in Jesus and stare down the devil! In the power of His Blood and the authority of His Name, resist any ploy to lure you outside Him and shake off anything that exalts itself above the Word of God!
Proverbs 24:11-12 Rescue those who are unjustly sentenced to death; don’t stand back and let them die. Don’t try to avoid responsibility by saying you didn’t know about it. For God knows all hearts, and he sees you. He keeps watch over your soul, and he knows you knew! And he will judge all people according to what they have done.
The only reason we do not rescue the unborn child or the abused and the outcast is cowardice. In fact, that is the definition of the word!
LISTEN!
IF you want to live the life that Jesus paid for and offers you, then
violently and resolutely SHAKE OFF,
extract yourself and your sisters and brothers from
ANYTHING THAT EXALTS ITSELF ABOVE THE WORD OF GOD!
