How desperate is the Imperial President to avoid being besmirched by the inconvenient truth of Benghazi? In a stellar bit of mendacity, even for him, he has labeled the latest round of testimony and evidence of White House criminal activity “a sideshow.” On Monday, President Obama, in his ongoing attempt to master the Jedi mind-trick, once again told America that what they see and hear is false. Only what he tells us is true. The trouble is that every word he said was an out-and-out lie. “The Lyin’ King” has never been a more fitting title.

President Obama came out swinging. Clearly annoyed that Benghazi is still dogging his regime, he offered contemptuous statements in his accustomed fashion. He addressed the press while in the presence of British Prime Minister David Cameron. One can only presume that he believes his oration, made in front of Britain’s lap-dog head of state, makes his falsehoods more credible to Americans. Right off, he denied any cover-up.

In case that declaration, alone, didn’t seal the deal he also denied that the State Department was attempting to play down the administration’s first story about what occurred on September 11^th. He insisted that he had called the attack “terrorism” from the outset. And then, he got really creative. He said that National Counterterrorism Center Director Matt Olsen had been dispatched to clear things up.

“If this was some effort on our part to try to downplay what had happened or tamp it down, that would be a pretty odd thing that three days later we end up putting out all the information…”

Trouble is, they didn’t. He was still fibbing like mad a month later in front of the United Nations. Like everything else associated with the Benghazi debacle, the President was rewriting history.

When Matt Olsen had appeared before Congress, his testimony was big news because it contradicted the official White House story. And Olsen was reprimanded by the White House for testifying.

President Obama seems to seriously believe that his just claiming a lie is truth, miraculously, makes it so. His denials of any wrongdoing by him or his administration boil down to his statement on Monday: “There’s no there, there.” It’s too bad for him, that there is a there there is. His regime’s vanishing act in response to the attack in Benghazi is, at best, evidence of incompetence. But orders had been issued that assistance was not be provided (not once but several times) to the ambassador. That’s confirmation that what the regime did…or didn’t do…was intentional. Facts overwhelmingly support “intentional.”

“Who executes some sort of cover-up or effort to tamp things down for three days? So the whole thing defies logic.” President Obama scornfully alleged during his performance. Logic was never part of his play book. In his zeal to enhance his “historic” presidency he should’ve exercised more caution; published reports, audio and videotape have more validity than his fantasies do. Benghazi sets an historic, presidential precedent all right; but the engineered incident is better described as notorious rather than famous; a catastrophe rather than a sideshow.

Obama is calling Benghazi a “sideshow.” Dead Americans and an attack on our consulate on September 11, 2012 is a “sideshow“? On that alone, he shows how unqualified, incompetent, dangerous and unconcerned he is/was with American lives and national security — not to mention that he has, yet again, been exposed as a vicious, bold-faced liar.

Dck Cheney said on Hannity: “I think it’s one of the worst incidents frankly that I can recall in my career.” He said that officials would not allow Americans to know the truth about the attack because it would challenge the basis for President Obama’s re-election campaign. “If they told the truth about Benghazi — that it was a terrorist attack by an al-Qaida affiliated group — it would destroy the false image of competence that was the basis of his campaign for re-election,” Cheney insisted. “Well they lied.”

I can’t believe that CNN broke this. I wonder how long Tapper will last there, desecrating the holiest of O-liest.

CNN exclusive: White House email contradicts Benghazi leaks Updated 12:15 PM EDT, Tue May 14, 2013 By Jake Tapper, CNN

CNN has obtained an email sent by a top aide to President Barack Obama, in which the aide discusses the Obama administration reaction to the attack on the U.S. posts in Benghazi, Libya. The actual email differs from how sources inaccurately quoted and paraphrased it in previous accounts to different media organizations.

The significance of the email seems to be that whomever leaked the inaccurate information earlier this month did so in a way that made it appear that the White House – specifically deputy National Security Adviser for Strategic Communications Ben Rhodes – was more interested in the State Department’s desire to remove mentions to specific terrorist groups and warnings about these groups so as to not bring criticism to the Department than Rhodes’ email actually stated.

The actual email from then-Deputy National Security Adviser for Strategic Communications Ben Rhodes appears to show that whomever leaked it did so in a way that made it appear that the White House primarily concerned with the State Department’s desire to remove references and warnings about specific terrorist groups so as to not bring criticism to the department.

Rhodes, White House communications director Jennifer Palmieri, and White House press secretary Jay Carney, could not be reached for comment.

In the email sent on Friday, September 14, 2012, at 9:34 p.m., obtained by CNN from a U.S. government source, Rhodes wrote:

“All –

“Sorry to be late to this discussion. We need to resolve this in a way that respects all of the relevant equities, particularly the investigation.

“There is a ton of wrong information getting out into the public domain from Congress and people who are not particularly informed. Insofar as we have firmed up assessments that don’t compromise intel or the investigation, we need to have the capability to correct the record, as there are significant policy and messaging ramifications that would flow from a hardened mis-impression.

“We can take this up tomorrow morning at deputies.”

ABC News reported that Rhodes wrote: “We must make sure that the talking points reflect all agency equities, including those of the State Department, and we don’t want to undermine the FBI investigation. We thus will work through the talking points tomorrow morning at the Deputies Committee meeting.” The Weekly Standard reported that Rhodes “responded to the group, explaining that Nuland had raised valid concerns and advising that the issues would be resolved at a meeting of the National Security Council’s Deputies Committee the following morning.”

Whoever provided those quotes seemingly invented the notion that Rhodes wanted the concerns of the State Department specifically addressed. While Nuland, particularly, had expressed a desire to remove mentions of specific terrorist groups and CIA warnings about the increasingly dangerous assignment, Rhodes put no emphasis at all in his email on the State Department’s concerns.

Previous reporting also misquoted Rhodes as saying the group would work through the talking points at the deputies meeting on Saturday, September 15, when the talking points to Congress were finalized. While the previously written subject line of the email mentions talking points, Rhodes only addresses misinformation in a general sense.

So whoever leaked the inaccurate information earlier this month did so in a way that made it appear that the White House – specifically Rhodes – was more interested in the State Department’s concerns, and more focused on the talking points, that the email actually stated.

The email was sent to former National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor, CIA spokeswoman Cynthia Rapp, State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland, State Department official Jake Sullivan, spokesman for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence Shawn Turner and others whose names have been redacted from the copy of the email obtained by CNN. The subject line of the email is “Re: Revised HPSCI Talking Points for Review.”

ANAHIEM, Calif. (April 25,2013) Mickey Mouse and a cast of beloved Disney characters will embark on a series of musical adventures through the magical powers of a sorcerer’s map in “Mickey and the Magical Map,” the all-new live show coming to the Fantasyland Theatre in Disneyland Park May 25.

Created by Disney Creative Entertainment, “Mickey and the Magical Map” was conceived for children of all ages and represents the return of Disney storytelling to the newly refurbished Fantasyland Theatre, a venue that merges the tradition of live outdoor performances with theatrical technology.

Performed in the most magical of lands, Fantasyland, the new show reveals a mischievous Mickey Mouse.

“Mickey and the Magical Map” presents Mickey in his timeless role as the sorcerer’s apprentice. Wise sorcerer Yen Sid directs his Mapmakers, a singing-dancing ensemble cast that paints a wondrous map – capable of taking dreamers to any place imaginable and so large it spans the entire stage of the outdoor Fantasyland Theatre.

Apprentice Mickey lets his curiosity get the better of him and he stumbles upon the map’s magical powers, which take him, along with the audience, on a fantastic journey of imagination in the company of the Mapmakers. The journey, presented through theatrical stage wizardry, unveils wonderful worlds of music, color, adventure and beloved characters with each new direction – all set to an original song, “Journey of the Imagination,” and music from classic Disney films.

The show, scheduled for five daily performances this summer, comes alive with appearances and songs by King Louie from “The Jungle Book” (“I Wan’na Be Like You”), Pocahontas (“Just Around the Riverbend”), Mulan (“Reflection”), Rapunzel and Flynn Rider from “Tangled,” (“I See The Light”) Princess Tiana from “The Princess and the Frog” (“Dig a Little Deeper”), and Sebastian from “The Little Mermaid” (“Under the Sea”). Also included is the song “Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride” from “Lilo and Stitch.”

Fantasyland Theatre, a classic Disneyland venue, was inspired by the original Fantasyland Theater (former spelling) which showed Disney cartoons and Mouseketeer footage from 1955 to 1964. The current theatre debuted in 1985 as Videopolis, a dance location, which quickly drew crowds for stage productions including “One Man’s Dream,” “Dick Tracy Starring in Diamond Double Cross,” “Mickey’s Nutcracker,” and one of Disney’s first stage productions of “Beauty and the Beast.”
